Eagle Scout of the Year

Eligibility: Applicants must demonstrate outstanding service in community, church and school and must be at least 15 years of age, in high school and either members of a troop chartered by the American Legion/Auxiliary or sons or grandsons of members of the American Legion/Auxiliary. Students must have received the Eagle Scout Award as well as the Boy Scout religious emblem. Scholarships may be used to attend a state-accredited college, university or other school above the high school level.

Amount: $2,500-$10,000

Eligibility: Applicants must be practicing Catholics and full-time high school seniors who hold a leadership role in their scouting unit and are actively involved with a Scout Troop, Varsity Scout Team, Venturing Crew or Sea Scout Ship. Students must have provided service to their community, school, scouting and home parish and earned the Ad Altare Dei, Pope Pius XII Religious Award or Light is Life (Eastern Rite) Religious Emblem. Applicants must also have earned the Eagle Scout, Summit Award or Quartermaster Award.

Eligibility: Applicants must be high school seniors at an accredited high school or college freshmen if their Eagle Scout board of review was held the same year of their high school graduation. Students must be a current registered and active member of a Boy Scout troop, Varsity Scout team or Venturing crew and an active member of a synagogue. Applicants must have received the Ner Tamid or Etz Chaim religious emblem and must show practical citizenship in their school, Scouting unit, synagogue and community.
